Saturday #CHH Music Review: Hulvey & Kierra Sheard

This week in CHH and Gospel brought us the first full length album from Hulvey and the Deluxe edition of Kierra Sheard's chart topping album of her namesake.

God definitely blessed the Beatz of "Christopher" as Hulvey comes out the gate swinging with Can't Tell it All. The album continues at a decent pace and rhythm, certain to have your head bobbing and a couple of stank faces at the clever lyricism sprinkled throughout .

Speaking of lyrics, in "We Against the World'" (one of three singles off the album) a line says 'Wanna have a blast? Then you gotta bring the homies' and Hulvey brings Lecrae, Andy Mineo, SVRCINA, and BigBreeze. The other two singles are "Back to the Wick" and "Reasons". But you will enjoy other songs on the list, and the Spirit inside you will too.

In Kierra the Deluxe Edition, Sheard introduces five new songs that were not on the original release. “Out of My Mind” (feat. Camper), “Grace,” “Live 4 God,” “A Good Man,” and “Something Has to Break” (feat. Karen Clark Sheard), the duet with her mother, which is currently playing on radio, recorded from their appearance on the 2020 BET Awards.

The new version comes in advance of a major new move as Kierra will make her debut as a published author on April 13th with her memoir, “Big, Bold, and Beautiful: Owning the Woman God Made You to Be”

In celebration of both, the album release and the upcoming book release,, Kierra is hosting “The Big, Bold and Beautiful Experience,” on April 10th and April 11th. The 2-day virtual conference will include a mix of “bold conversations” and “big performances,” and featured guests include Sarah Jakes Roberts, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Meagan Good, Erica Campbell, PrettyVee, Sevyn Streeter, Dwight Holt Jr., Chandler Moore, Terrence J, and Jonathan McReynolds..
