This week on the Blessed Beatz Live show we go GOSPEL! Minister Leon Lewis stops by the show. Minister Leon is a is an accomplished musician, songwriter, producer, composer and arranger. He has written, produced and played for many artist and notable personalities in the gospel music industry. The list includes, but is not limited to, Shirley Ceasar, Yolanda Adams, Bishop T. D. Jakes, Bishop Paul S. Morton, Tyler Perry, Donnie McClurkin, Brian C. Wilson, Kim Burrell, Beverly Crawford, Lamar Campbell, Elvin D. Ross, Benita Washington, Stephanie Dotson, Kathy Taylor, the late Shawn McClemore and legendary jazz saxophonist, Ronnie Laws. In 2007, Leon received a Dove Award nomination, given by the Gospel Music Association (GMA), in the category of "Best Traditional Song of the Year" for the song entitled, ‘Miracles Still Happen’. Leon currently serves as Minister of Music/Director of Worship & Fine Arts at Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Dr. Marcus D. Cosby, Senior Pastor. He is married to Valencia Y. Lewis. They have five (5) children: Christina Noelle, Victoria Nicole, Alexandria NaShelle, Xavier Neal and Christian Noel. We talk Chapters and Verses with him.
