Lyrics for Learning

The Not So Christian In Me Show was invited to attend Lyrics for Learning at University of Houston.

Lyrics for Learning is a scholarship competition catering to talented students from 2nd - 12th grade who are inspired by their passion for music. Students will be vying for $50,000 in scholarships, cash awards, and prizes as well as performance opportunities.These young, gifted students will have the chance to showcase their abilities and originality in performing, dancing, singing or rapping. The competition aims to discover and support raw talent from a diverse pool of competitors to showcase their potential in a real way. As headlines on suicide and bullying in schools become regrettably common, it is important for today’s youth to be able to express themselves creatively and to feel supported by their community.

Lyrics for Learning was created by You Are A Queen and Kings II Kings and founded by Sena Pierre, J. Prince, DJ XO, Young Lyric, Vincent Powell, Yung Al and D Reck.
