Snoop Dogg Reaches #1 On Top Gospel Albums Chart

Snoop Dogg's "Bible of Love" is now #1 on the Top Gospel Albums Chart.

Snoop Dogg's foray into Gospel Music is but one of many growth periods he has undergone, and yet they've all been alarmingly good. The reggae album was gold, his soupcon with Dam-funk produced a heritage moment for the West Coast, in fact the list goes on. If you account for the pimpish superlative of the late 90's, or his gang banging start, you being to write down a repertoire so vast, it points to nothing in particular. In making this album and having it strike gold, Snoop Dogg has once again avoided typecasting, he's added musical stylings to his repertoire, he's also passed on much needed praise to musicians in a genre specific field. Snoop is at a point in his career where he can make 'his music,' and have those wishes met with a warm reception. People will stop and listen on merit alone.

32 track barn-burner taps Gospel heavyweights such as Erica Campbell, Marvin Sapp, Tye Tribbett and Charlie Wilson. In his first attempt, he has scored a #1 on the Gospel Chart to add his never ending tally which includes six #1 R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and a single #1 on the Reggae charts as Snoop Lion. Three tracks from Bible of Love have entered the Hot Gospel Songs Chart.
