Lecrae Wins 2nd Best Gospel/Inspirational Award at BET Awards 2017

Sunday night, BET held their annual awards show congratulating all the musical artist and black creativity from the previous year. Christian Hip Hop has definitely reached new heights over the past few years. Gospel has always been a category at the BET awards but it is normally awarded to a singing artist or someone who fits more of the mold of what society has categorized gospel or inspirational music; but who says hip hop is not inspiring.

Hip Hop artist, Lecrae has let it be known that you can put God first and be who your true self. Taking home his 2nd Best Gospel/Inspirational Artist awards proves this hip hop culture that was started over 35 years ago has changed the world and continues to influences all generations and colors.
