#Throwback Thursday

All month(really all year) long we are celebrating Black History Month in honor of our ancestors that march, fought, died and did all types of things so that we could be equal. We are honoring the lives of the innocent black women and men taken by the hands of people who swore to protect and serve us. We are honoring Barack Obama for becoming the 45th president and showing us that blacks can live in the White House too. We are honoring those who exemplify #blackgirlmagic and #blackboyjoy. We are honoring our Blackness. Last year Jessie Williams gave a wonderful speech which inspired the famous Instagram caption, "Just because we are magical, doesn't mean we aren't real" For some reason this statement has been on my mind all week so I decided to throw it back to 7 months ago at the BET Awards,
