Dylann Roof Guilty Of Federal Hate Crime Charges

A jury has found accused South Carolina church shooter Dylann Roof guilty of federal hate crime charges. Roof murdered nine people at the historically black Emanuel AME church in Charleston last year.

The jury convicted Roof of all 33 counts against him. Roof stood emotionless as the verdict was read. Next the court will decide if Roof gets life in prison or the death penalty. That phase begins January 3rd. The judge instructed the jury not to watch television, use social media or talk about the case over the holidays.
