Houston's very own Chauncy Glover presents his 3rd Annual Black Tie Gala entitled, “For Colored

Who Considered Suicide: When Love and Mentoring IS Enough!” Glover created this program to mentor boys to become college-bound. They forgo tutoring, leadership trying and team building that ties into the gala where they perform their skills. This particular show was dedicated to a young king named Kevin Reese, Jr. who passed away January 21, 2019 after being relentless bullied. He was only 10. Before the compelling experience of the young men taking the stage, they strolled onto the red carpet presenting their best smiles for a group photo. Other contributors graced the red carpet. Christina Porter is the project coordinator of the organization. She is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the organization. Trailing Porter was Keith “Mr. D-Mars” Davis, Sr. He has worked in advertising, marketing, media and communication. He is the President and CEO of Vaskey Media Group, Inc., who lead campaigns for many businesses. Davis received the “Spirit of the Entrepreneur “ award.

Honoree Trae Tha Truth earned the “Heart of Houston” award. The rapper is best known for his life inspired lyrics and community service work. As a Houston leader Trae Tha Truth is used to being recognized for his good. But this time is was here for his friend, Chauncy Glover. He modestly says, “I know I was supposed to be getting honored.
